Devendra Banhart, the Rockol videointerview
- Singer-songwriter Devendra Banhart is about to release his newest recorded effort, the studio album called "Mala".Banhart's eight album is set to be out on March 12 and it'll be his first after the deal with Nonesuch. The whole work took shape in Los Angeles, where Devendra and his longtime associate Noah Georgeson assembled and produced the album together, playing most of the instruments themselves, using borrowed equipment and a recorder they’d found in a pawn shop.
Banhart, this month, is also going to perform live at the SXSW music conference, joining KCRW's Official SXSW Day Showcase at the Austin Convention Center's Radio Day Stage on March 13.
We had the chance to invite him in our Rockol headquarters in Milan and he was kind enough to sit with us for a nice interview.
