A couple of years ago we left Jamie Lidell facing a deep revolution in his own life; after defining his own personal sound, made of black music, soul, funk and rhythm & blues, he had been sucked into the kaleidoscopic world of Beck, with whom he recorded the melancholic "Compass".

And now he's changing again... his eponymous fifth album indeed, was recorded in the intimacy of a home studio in Nashville and it reflects the swill to create a melting pot of sounds, influences and atmospheres. From eighties pop sound to hard electronic, jazz, funk, the ghost of Daft Punk... “Jamie Lidell” is almost a parallel universe in which the laws of space and time are bent to the will of Lidell himself, creating a delicate equilibrium between analogic and digital.
