Anxiety

With shaded flesh, and in bare midriff dress
She revealed naked shoulders, and called me with her lips
She sipped espresso, as I made my way to her
And with juvenile expression, she told me her name

In random discourse, and colloquial language
I found myself close to her, feeling her warmth
And with timid gestures, our hands slowly meet
A gentle tremble, as our fingers intertwined

And when the music plays
There's no need for you
To feel afraid
Hold her close to you
Whisper her name as the
Dance begins to play
It's all you have to say
How do you feel

When the sun goes down
Does she whisper in your ear
And laugh without a sound
And how would it be
If this moment were forever
Knowing that it's just you
Knowing that it's just her

Across and empty shore, the moon peeks through the clouds
We share this limelight, with a kiss of promised life
Her hair dances in the wind, as she shudders from the chill
The ocean sighs for her, while we share a silent moment

She leads me by the hand, to the watery edge
Splashing the liquid, gently with her feet
And then she pauses, to etch our names in the sand
Watching the tide, wash them away
