No More Pain

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth
for the first heaven and the first earth
were passed away
and there was no more sea

And I John saw the holy city
new Jerusalem
coming down from God out of heaven
prepared as a bride
adorned for her husband

And I heard a great voice
out of heaven saying
Behold the tabernacle of God
is with men
and he will dwell with them
and they shall be his people
and God himself shall be with them
And be their God

And God shall wipe away
all tears from their eyes
and there shall be no more death
neither sorrow
nor crying
neither shall there be any more pain
for the former things are passed away

I read the paper
and I was told
we are entering a new world
made out of gold
we are traveling together
led by a few
as we leave this old world
and entering a new

let me tell you my friend
there is a catch-33
cause this world that they are talking about
was never meant for you and me
come with me and follow me
I will guide you home
you see God brought us out of Egypt
it's time to leave the streets we roam

I came to be one little feather
on that great speckled bird
rescue me I'm just a feather
on that great speckled bird

And if Christ be not raised
your faith is vain
ye are yet in your sins
Then they also which are
fallen asleep in Christ are perished

If in this life only
we have hope in Christ
we are of all men
most miserable

But now is Christ risen
from the dead
and become the firstfruits
Of them that slept

I live my life slowly
can't make me run
and I would never judge you
who decides to jump the gun
my life will end and so will yours
and though on earth we live together
we might leave through different doors

my faith is in God above
Jesus Christ the one
who died for us
he died and rose
and he'll be back
believe before you leave
