Horizons

It was lonely down that one-way lane
Yet comforting and familiar all the same
And as the landscape transforms and ushers me away
Am I truly wandering

I'd wasted all this time I know
The dim path I decided to follow
And now I'm looking to see
Only what's in front of me
The illusions I thought I knew
Begin to surface and come unglued
And unknowingly obscured horizons I now know are true

And I know that I only have myself to blame
But with the picture that was broken the lie that was spoken
I can't seem to run away

I'd wasted all this time I know
The dim path I decided to follow
And now I'm looking to see
Only what's in front of me
The illusions I thought I knew
Begin to surface and come unglued
And unknowingly obscured Horizons I now know are true
