She Still Has My Picture

She Still Has My Picture On The Wall

Today I saw someone I knew a love from long ago
She was walking down the street and stopped to say hello
She was still so beautiful her smile just lit the day
I kissed her cheek and turned to walk away

She said she lived just down the block and if I had time free
We could go and talk a while and she could make some tea
But when I walked into that room I couldn't speak at all
Cause she still has my picture on the wall

Maybe there's a flame still burning somewhere deep inside
An ember of that old sweet yearning that I thought had died and
Even though I broke her heart and left without a call
She still has my picture on the wall

How could she still care for me I guess I'll never know
If I could do it all again I'd never let her go
Cause here I stand a lonely man who loved and lost it all and
She still has my picture on the wall
She still has my picture on the wall
