Memories of December

I remember our old house and those Christmas days so cold
I remember how we'd shiver as we'd watch the curtains blow
Old man winter favored no one rich or poor young or old
Memories of December a long time ago

There were never many presents 'neath our Christmas tree
We would always find some homemade ones for my siblings and me
We sang Silent Night as we all wished it would snow
Memories of December a long time ago

Memories of December all around the stove
Every carol that we sang seemed to warm our souls
I go back home in my mind when I hear the north wind blow
Memories of December a long time ago

Mom would let's not forget about the greatest gift we've received
As she passed out the old hymnals and we begin to sing

Memories of December all around the stove
Every carol that we sang seemed to warm our souls
I go back home in my mind when I hear the north wind blow
Memories of December a long time ago
I go back home in my mind when I hear the north wind blow
Memories of December a long time ago
