Afterwards

That event changed my life forever, I think about it so much
It really took a toll on me in so many ways, I mean the impact...
The impact something like that can have on someone is huge
And different people are affected in different ways
I mean depending on how sensitive you are
How you rationalise things, how your mind works, there's just so many ways that can affect you.

I just remember the feeling, you know, the sensations, and the emotions
I can still recall so many physical sensations from what happened, so many intense details
I can't believe how much a single event can influence your life
I guess it's like in a movie, when an important scene sets the tone
For the main character's choices in the story
When I think about that day, it really is like watching a movie
It's surreal even just reminding myself that I was the actor in that scene
I was the main character

Now that I'm here, sometimes i'm not really sure where I should go
I have a direction, but it's so hard to move
Sometimes It feels like I'm paralysed, and I don't know why
I don't know. So much has changed. I'm not the same
Someone told me that they felt like they had to catch up with themselves, and that's how I feel
I have a lot to do, so I had better get going
