Buried Alive

On a cold dark night the moon a bloody red
Wishing I was home sleeping in my bed
Instead I am digging with a frenzied pace
Light drops of rain falling on my face

When I put you here you seemed to be gone
Everything about this night was all wrong
Putting you in the ground had left me quite sore
But I knew in my mind I had to be sure

You said it was fine, you said we're alright
But then the shots rang out into the night
You were immortal to me, you could never die
But after what went down you couldn't be alive

I stab into the dirt and throw it to the wind
Hoping that you have not yet met your end
Was I a fool for this I know I saw you die
As I dig deeper I almost start to cry

Reaching the end I can barely make your face
My mind is panicked and my heart begins to race
I hoped to be wrong but my mind fed me lies
And suddenly I saw you open your eyes

You said it was fine in a voice full of life
But then you stabbed me with my own knife
I thought you were dead, I saw it in your eyes
But now I'm the one being buried alive

You thought I left you here and condemned your blackened soul
But now I'm the one rotting in this hole

I'm buried alive
Buried alive
Buried alive
