Time to Get Dressed

Socks, socks, one by one
Putting on your socks can be so fun
Red socks, blue socks, pink socks, white
First your left sock, then your right

Socks on your feet, make your feet warm
Make your feet happy 'cause they got something on them

Pants, pants, well, they come next
There's all kind of pants for all kind of legs
Put one in the one side, one in the other
Take it from me, and listen to your mother

Put your feet in the top and poke them out the bottom
When you see them sticking out, that's when you know you got it
Pull them up, up, up so they don't fall down
You want them on your legs, you don't want them on the ground

Shirt, shirt, you got to have a shirt
T-shirt, sweatshirt, any kind of shirt
Not too loose, but not too tight
When you can't see your belly, then you know you got it right

Put your arms through the small holes, head through the top
Do it real good, you might get a lollipop
You're almost done, you're looking real nice
Just one more thing but it's slipping my mind

Shoes, shoes, I almost forgot
They go on the bottom, they don't go on the top
They cover your feet, they cover your socks
Dad'll tie them tight, so they don't fall off

Playing in the backyard, climbing up a tree
One is not enough and you can't wear three
Shoes, shoes, you got to have shoes
You can't get dressed if you don't wear shoes

Dressed, dressed, now you're all dressed
There's just two little bitty teenie weenie things left
If it's cold outside and your cheeks get red
Better put on a coat and a hat on your head

Dressed, dressed, give yourself a pat
Now you're all dressed, what you think about that?
