Don't Shoot (BLM)
Why we gotta cause all this pain, it's insane
When what makes us all the same, is really just our brain
An entire culture has been oppressed for years
Subjected to a life that's filled with tears
In this country racism has become a trend
I can't stand to let this happen again and again
So together we will stand proud
And take back what is rightfully ours
This is what community looks like
Show them what community looks like
This is what community looks like
Show them what community looks like
This is what community looks like
Show them what community looks like
This is what community looks like
Show them what community looks like
I look to my left, I look to my right
I see people who are willing to fight for their rights
A community together, held under pressure
A group of people who will never surrender
Condemned to be poor, we'll be silent no more
Cause injustice is something we will never stand for
People getting shot in the street cause they're talking
Officer said he didn't like the way he's walking
Human beings are still treated like savages
Put the message up in smoke, we're forced to pay the damages
The fab 5 made a train of thought
Red black and green are the colors that we got
Don't you understand what's going on here
We have no fear and I've made myself clear
Words sharper than a dagger or a window shattered
We scream it loud, black lives matter
This is what community looks like
Show them what community looks like
This is what community looks like
Show them what community looks like
This is what community looks like
Show them what community looks like
This is what community looks like
Show them what community looks like
You're either with us or not there is no in-between
If you ain't doing anything, you're helping the machine
The machine runs this country by stereotypes
It Judges people's skin and forgets their rights
It don't matter me if you're black or white
As long as you're willing to stand up and fight
This country needs a change and it starts today
Join the black lives movement and we'll show you the way
The future is coming whether you like it or not
You can see in the schools or hear it in parking lots
The March to equality is more than policy
It's a social evolution within our democracy
So we wear this shirt and try to assert
The truth about our voices and not being heard
This more than a plight, this is bigger than a strike
We'll show you what community looks like
This is what community looks like
Show them what community looks like
This is what community looks like
Show them what community looks like
This is what community looks like
Show them what community looks like
This is what community looks like
Show them what community looks like
This is what community looks like
