Night Surfing

So glad summer's here, seasons take too long
Well I've been waiting for a night to do some surfing on,
Gonna scratch me some wax gonna get on my board,
Gonna carve out those lines straight to the shore.
The air's real cool but the water's warm,
Waves are pumping through from a Mexican storm,
It's so dark out here but the moon is bright
Stare up at that ball and touch the daylight.

Well i'm night surfing the sea is so calm
It's taking me back i remember it all.

The silence seems loud my heart it beats a turn.
I remember her eyes cause she was always the first
Her love was a lesson that I'm trying to learn but
she's so far away will she, will she ever return, return?
Now i look in the dark i stare as i can i think of her face and how
we walked in the sand then the water it rises and i push for the
land. just her eyes and this wave will bring that feeling again.

Well i'm night surfing the sea is so calm
It's taking me back i remember it all.

My toes in the sand i stand alone on the shore
The wind blows cruel a lonely gull fly's home,
I want to float like a leaf i want to climb high and soar,
Like the dream i once had i want it more and more, more and more.
I think of when i was young and the feeling inside
With a heart beating fresh and wanting to touch the sky
There was no second thoughts all my dreams were in sight
Just the wanting alone is what keeps me trying.

Well i'm not surfing i see the stars in the sky feel the magical void
it's like a mystical ride well i'm night surfing the
sea is so calm, it's taking me back i remember it all.
