Battleworn

I've been wasting too much time,
Smoking cigarettes and drinking beer,
The static in my head,
Means nothing's coming through that clear.

I've never felt more useless than I do right now,
And I've gotta struggle through this but I don't know how.
To pick myself up from these kitchen tiles,
Coz I've been feeling like something's gotta give, for quite a while.

Yeah, something's gotta give now.

But it's all in the delivery,
Don't act like you're surprised,

LIKE YOU'RE SURPRISED!

Put me out of my misery,
Stick one right between the eyes.

Any port is safer than a sea in a storm,
But my sails are down and I'm battleworn.
So this time let the winds rage on,
Coz if I go down now, it's on my terms.

But it's all in the delivery,
Don't act like you're surprised,

LIKE YOU'RE SURPRISED!

Put me out of my misery,
Stick one right between the eyes.
