Don't Cling to Mistakes

It was a laugh
You needed a contract at least a paragraph to keep your fears at bay
It's where the big print giveth and the small print taketh away
Life was ok that way

Now Life's a sham and It's been shattered
And what was black and white has turned to murky gray
The old tools and tether can't keep it together this day
We need a whole new way

They say what's wrong is just right and all those lies they tell are true
They tell you up is so down and what's red is just turning to blue
Everybody has something to say, they humblebrag on the social media
We shouldn't cling to our mistakes just cause they took such a long time to brew

Now life's a sham
It's been shattered, and what was black, and white has turned to murky gray
The old tools and tether can't keep it together this day
We need a whole new way

They say what's wrong is right and all those lies they say are true
They tell you what's up is down and what's red just seems turning to blue
Everybody has something to say, they humblebrag on the social media
We shouldn't cling to our mistakes just cause they took such a long time to brew

We shouldn't cling to our mistakes cause the final exam is coming due

We shouldn't cling to our mistakes it's not the way to see this mess through
