Tread Lightly

If I could I'd tell you how I feel
But it's hard when I can't even tell what's real or not
I can't focus my thoughts
While everyone strides on the sidewalk
I'm climbing up a hill
To feel content, for that I'd kill

And at this point
I'm not sure how you'd take it
if I told you what goes on in my head
But I can try to draw out
This mess

A cry for help
But only whispers in reply
A trace of doubt
In everything I write
Tread Lightly
I'm afraid of everything
Tread Lightly
I'm afraid of everything

And now I'm trying to put it into words
But I can't when all I feel is blank pages and all
The words I put in my own head
And strangely enough It's easier
To understand in the sweeter parts
To get a view from the second hand

And at this point
I'm not sure how you'd take it
if I told you what goes on in my head
But I can try to draw out this mess

A cry for help
But only whispers in reply
A trace of doubt
In everything I write
Tread Lightly
I'm afraid of everything
Tread Lightly
I'm afraid of everything
Tread Lightly

I think you should know that I will stay
the shadows will move and mountains will take their place
so just be here
just stay by here

A cry for help
But only whispers in reply
A trace of doubt
In everything I write
Tread Lightly
I'm afraid of everything
Tread Lightly
I'm afraid of everything
