Eclipse
An eclipse appeared in front of me
I stretched my hand tried to block the sun
It burned into the edge of me
And the ashes fell, and the ashes fell from
Here to the ground where they blew away
And into the wind and into the wake
And all I saw was heavy snow
And it buried me, and it buried me within
My path had blurred away
The horizon washed into the rain
And there I was waiting in the dark
For the snow to melt
For a chance to see again
I could not catch my breath
Would I survive into the next day
Into uncertainty I fell
And I gasped for breath
Holding on to what was left
I was searching for adventure
Then I saw my own reflection
What I saw was not the person
I knew that wasn't me
I collapsed under the pressure
Felt the world erasing me
The sun eclipsing into me
Burning, my will
I tried to close my eyes
But the visions took control of them
And there I was fighting in the dark
Fighting for my life, fighting for another chance
I tried to hide away
Nothing in the world made sense at all
I lost all possibilities
To survive the night, to continue living on
I was searching for adventure
Then I saw my own reflection
What I saw was not the person
I knew that wasn't me
I collapsed under the pressure
Felt the world erasing me
The sun eclipsing into me
Burning, my will
I collapsed under the pressure
Felt the world erasing me
The sun eclipsing into me
Burning, my will
Burning, my will
Burning, all of me
I stretched my hand tried to block the sun
It burned into the edge of me
And the ashes fell, and the ashes fell from
Here to the ground where they blew away
And into the wind and into the wake
And all I saw was heavy snow
And it buried me, and it buried me within
My path had blurred away
The horizon washed into the rain
And there I was waiting in the dark
For the snow to melt
For a chance to see again
I could not catch my breath
Would I survive into the next day
Into uncertainty I fell
And I gasped for breath
Holding on to what was left
I was searching for adventure
Then I saw my own reflection
What I saw was not the person
I knew that wasn't me
I collapsed under the pressure
Felt the world erasing me
The sun eclipsing into me
Burning, my will
I tried to close my eyes
But the visions took control of them
And there I was fighting in the dark
Fighting for my life, fighting for another chance
I tried to hide away
Nothing in the world made sense at all
I lost all possibilities
To survive the night, to continue living on
I was searching for adventure
Then I saw my own reflection
What I saw was not the person
I knew that wasn't me
I collapsed under the pressure
Felt the world erasing me
The sun eclipsing into me
Burning, my will
I collapsed under the pressure
Felt the world erasing me
The sun eclipsing into me
Burning, my will
Burning, my will
Burning, all of me
