Olive Branch

Mister and Misses alone by a lake
One's got a heart and the other one shakes
Sunset upon them, a beautiful sight
Who would have thought that the Misses could fight
Cunning and clever one elegant bride
Reaches her arms out time after time
Bloated and wasted, the Mister takes hold
Of an olive branch to give to his Misses, so bold

She used to call him soldier
Now the leaves are smoldered
Drop to the ground

A symbol of peaceful and harmonious life
Breath by breath thinking
One of a kind
Mister grew sick of his sickness he sighed
Time to tell Misses before she resides
Watching the water, the Misses seems lost
Stuck in her head as she questions her thoughts
What if I left him to follow my heart
Would my love lie bleeding or would it restart

She used to call him soldier
Now the leaves are smoldered
Drop to the ground
The critical timing
For a man to start trying
Ticks off the clock

Misses, I love you, I want you to know
Mister, I'm sorry, you've not let me grow
Just take my branch with your delicate hands
There's nothing I'd want more than to live my demand
