Catch a Buzz

Round about September when the coast is clear
I sit out on the shoreline with my rod and reel
Stare across the ocean towards the setting sun
Put a sinker down and think about the man I have become

And all the love I've lost along the way
And all my friends who never made it back across these waves
I wet a line and let it ride
Pour a cold one in my cup
It might not look like fun when they ain't biting none
But it's enough to catch a buzz

Been casting off this old spot for twenty years
My first fish and my first kiss I caught them here
