Bees

Feasting on every word you can utter
Your voice is turned down low
The occasional mutter
Teeth sinking in
They'll rip you apart
Exposing your melted core
And the sweet child at heart

You know in seconds you can drown
But trust they'll be there when you need them
To pull you back down

They're too shaken to notice
That they all feel the same
At the end of it all
We've forgotten our shapes
Creature, creature
Flying six feet tall
A thin veil of disguise
But you can tell that it's cruel

He swats them away
But falls straight to his knees
This is your last chance to run now
Before the hive drowns in the deep

He's fallen again
They're beginning to swarm
Parasite
In uniform

He's fallen again
Dark clouds start to form
The bugs fly for shelter
Ahead of the storm
