Farewell Roswell

Don't talk about it
Don't read about it
Don't look for answers anywhere
The house is surrounded
The force has impounded:
A state of mind beyond this human time

And I try to hide away
But my memories are broken
I am not the same as I was once before the day
As I try to illustrate-
What was I put through?
My mouth is mute and I cannot speak the truth

I know I'm not the only one
I know I'm not the only one
I know I'm not the only one who sees it through
I feel it inside

I'm scarred from my actions
In a different direction
Than anything I'd ever plan to see
They came in the night
Like a thief filled with shite
God only knows what else is hiding out there

As I walk to my truck,
I see the wreckage in the distance
Waiting for a visit by a phantom-being
And they try to hide it up
Because it's always done anyway
I have to share a glimpse of yesterday

I know I'm not the only one
I know I'm not the only one
I know I'm not the only one who sees it through
I feel it inside
