New Boot Goofin'

Wandering down these rain soaked streets
Thoughts of my future flooding my mind
As the rain rushes down the drain to the sound
A perfect metaphor for my life

Because I know where I came from
And I know where I'll end up
But the in between is full of shit
Nearly a couple scores and I am over it

Sitting alone on a worn park bench
The Autumn air stings my skin
The leaves form a blanket of red, orange, and gold
And for a fleeting moment I forget it all
