Seasons

The leaves are painting themselves
With the colors of a summer sunset
While it's freezing out there

The cold wind in my eyes makes them cry
And lately I'm having a hard time
To keep them dry

It's like the weather knows the depth
Of the fear I won't admit to myself
The one I won't face the truth

I blink everything turns into white
What if I blink twice
Will you still be mine?

We're dancing on ice so how could I
Keep you from slipping away
Without holding too tight

For so long we've dancing on the same tune
Is that why you're looking for something new?
Cause I could learn a few moves

Is this season, the last one in line?
Will the river in my eyes someday dry
Or will you play the full moon?
