If I Fall

I cannot understand the timeline of the dream I live in when I wake up
Surely I can't imagine how I'll smell when i die
But I try when I lay myself like a corpse in the ground
I glow the faces on the wall so I'll never forget
I try to practice the consciousness I was given
Not like the birds in the sky or the fish in the water
The truth that I search lies where it's dark
And I can't see without light
So I write down what I imagine it could be
I was brought here to die and rot
But I'm still looking for that thing
That I don't even know what it looks like
Until my bones turn to smoke until my tears feed the ground
If I fall I'll never get up
If I fall I'll never get up
I was there I was dead before I was born
I was there and now I cannot die twice
