Intermission Crowds

Intermission crowds
They mill around
They sip their drinks, I hold my tongue
This is the last time I
This is the last call
The flashing lights remind
The patrons to clear the hall
And watch our hero fall

This is my favorite part
It's what I wish I could convey
Actors make breaking hearts
A comfortable display

As the curtains fall
The crowd clears to the street
We compare critiques
And act out our own deceit
Seeking our rave reviews
We wait for our own applause
You sip your drink, I hold my tongue
This is the last time I

This is my favorite part
It's what I wish I could convey
Actors make breaking hearts
A comfortable display
