Loud Neighbor Blues

In my building, I've got a neighbor upstairs
Always stopping about
Up all night, going right, left, right
I can't manage to drown 'em out

Monday through Thursday's a 7, 8, 9
Friday through Sunday's a 10
They're so damn loud and there's always a crowd
And every week it starts again

I don't ask for much, I'd just like to get to rest
And if they don't carpet
Their god damn apartment
I'm gonna have to murder them

I bought a couple speakers, a woofer and tweeters
To give 'em a taste of what it's like
But when I started to play, I got a noise complaint
From the tenant on my right

So, I guess I've lost the battle and I'm losing the war
It surely is an awful feeling
All that's left to do now is hunker on down
And put a carpet on my ceiling

I don't ask for much, I'd just like to get to rest
And if they don't carpet
Their god damn apartment
I'm gonna have to murder them

Murder 'em, baby
