All of My Friends - Commentary
This song, I wanted it to be like
You're in the same room as me when I write it
Now, anyone that knows me knows I am a reverb junkie
I'm also a bit of a harmony junkie, to put it out there
And this song really doesn't have any reverb on it
Or any harmonies, which is a huge moment for me
There's no harmonies, no reverb
But what I really love as well is hearing the actual piano pedal
Which makes it so intimate, you can actually hear me playing
And hear the forthcoming of the pedal
And um, we keep those things in there, so it really feels like
The energy of playing live for you
You're in the same room as me when I write it
Now, anyone that knows me knows I am a reverb junkie
I'm also a bit of a harmony junkie, to put it out there
And this song really doesn't have any reverb on it
Or any harmonies, which is a huge moment for me
There's no harmonies, no reverb
But what I really love as well is hearing the actual piano pedal
Which makes it so intimate, you can actually hear me playing
And hear the forthcoming of the pedal
And um, we keep those things in there, so it really feels like
The energy of playing live for you
