Together Dead

I keep watching out
My window on the crowd
Everybody's chasing something abstract
They keep wandering
Shuffling randomly
And black clouds move threatening
On the background

I keep watching in
The box before me
Every smile and every tear is flaunted
They make us believe
The more dark we're in the deep
The more bright we can be
On a golden surface
And good things can be reachable
On that surface

But we are all underneath
Where needs outclass all our dreams
Together lost
Together dead
But still got breath

I keep watching out
Hearing for a sound
A voice of hope among
A thousand ones
How to figure it out
If all keeps getting loud?
How to make that voice
To reach the surface?
And happiness is real
Only on that surface

But we are all underneath
Where we run fast for our needs
Together lost and so till death
Cause we live only to breathe
And suffocate all our dreams
Together lost
Together dead
And with a little less breath

Why can't we change everything?
Why do we have to live for something?
Together lost and out of breath
Cause we can't be something more
