Glimpse (Spacing Out)

I can't sit and watch it burn away
More than money
My inspiration and my days
So I packed it up, moved out of state
Got my heart broke, a new guitar
And start to play

I watch athletes at the pinnacle
Former friends have found their fortunes
Found their ways
I'm still trying to find where I belong
Or what my dreams are
They're more obscured on different days

Spacing out
With my eyes not as
Wide as my mouth
I'm in disarray
Spacing out
With my eyes not as
Wide as my mouth
I'm in disarray

How could you know with such certainty
What it is you're seeing?
How could anything be clear
To anybody?
Now and then I catch a glimpse of it
Something lasting, something real
And something pure
Been here for one third of a century
And still I
Don't have a clue what I should do
When I grow up
Here and there I catch a glimpse of it
But then it fades away, another day
That I'm left staring

Spacing out
With my eyes not as
Wide as my mouth
I'm in disarray
Spacing out
With my eyes not as
Wide as my mouth
I'm in disarray

Spacing Out
I'm spacing out

Spacing Out
Calling Out
Reaching, pleading, screaming out
Spacing out
With my eyes not as
Wide as my mouth
