You Are Who You Are

I was walking down the street one day,
and saw how people walked about and carried out their way.
They all seemed pre-determined, they all seemed pre-occupied,
they wouldn't even care if they saw that someone died.

In the midst of all the crowd, I saw her over there,
Standing all alone wreaking of trauma and despair.
You can see the whole world's sadness in one of her tears,
her life is one is but of sadness, it isn't one of cheers.

So I walked up to her and lifted up her chin,
she asked me, "Who are you?" I said, "Well, where do I begin?"
You and I, we're strangers, we have never met,
but I must tell you something just so you don't forget.

You are who you are, I don't care what they say.
Don't fall into those games that other people play.
You are who you are, what the hell do they know?
Don't wanna be your friend, they can just be your foe.

You think that you're normal, but you also think you're weird.
People look at you, and you wished you disappeared.
You think that you're normal, but you also think you're weird.
You think that's you're what everyone has feared.

She said you'll never know my pain,
I've had it all to lose but never had anything to gain.
I walked on endlessly, never living happily.
Just because I'm different me and them can't live in harmony.

I said look their judging eyes are just frightened by the truth.
Their life is dull and sheltered and filled with self-abuse.
They take one look at you and feel superior for once.
They're no longer insecure, because they've turned you to the dunce.

But, little do they know that when they sleep at night.
Their doubtful, anxious self is just waiting to ignite.
They'll never be happy with who they truly are,
to them not being fake just seems the most bizarre.

But, you are who you are, I don't care what they say.

So what if you're a woman with a beard.

A woman with a beard
A woman with a beard
A woman with a beard

So, you can go on to your mirror take that shaving cream and blade.
Get an operation 'till your problem's all decayed.
Live a normal life, and no one will think you're sick.
Your beard is who you are, very full and very thick.

It's bushy black and grey and matches with your hair.
A beard as great as yours is no reason for despair.
If I had one like that, I would flaunt it all the time.
To rid yourself of this is the gruesomest of crimes.

is the gruesomest of crimes.
is the gruesomest of crimes.
is the gruesomest of crimes.

She told me, "Go away, 'cause you're such a freak.
Every time time you move your mouth my bones begin to shriek."
I said, "Oh, I'm the freak? Have you ever seen your face?
I only like the beard, but the rest is just a fuckin' disgrace!"

You think that you're normal, but you also think you're weird.
People look at you, and they wished you disappeared!
You think that you're normal, but you also think you're weird.
You look somewhat bioengineered.

You think that you're normal, but you also think you're weird.
People look at you, and they wished you disappeared!
You think that you're normal, but you also think you're weird.
You're just like all those other women with a beard.

A woman with a beard.
A woman with a beard.
A woman with a beard.
