Reminiscing bout when our days were different

Back then was stress free
Some times without water or heat
But as a teen wasn't much to worry about now
I'm mid 20 approaching 30 wow
No more checkers it's chess
Making moves to keep my peace & keep my life in check
So much to regret

Not Much I remember a lot I want forget it
The "good old days" phrase will apply in couple days
If thats the case tomorrow I reflect on today
Like so much has change
Yesterday my homie had a baby on the way
My other dog propose to his girl the same day
My dad called asked what's going on
I told both scenarios
Not much to tell about me though
With little excitement he opted for generic responses
Frustration guided my mind
I asked what's the problem
He said tell your brothers I'm proud but
When you gon settle down son
And have my grandchild cause
You a man now plus
You ain't getting no younger
Like father like son get one like ya mother
Cause we didn't work it out
Don't mean your heart gotta suffer
Damn I miss the days I thought wrestling was real
And Thought love only heals,
