The Mending Tomb

I lay
Flat on the marble slab that you carved for me
In my absence
Returning home to the cold and damp
A sadistic tomb to rot

Giving my limbs to the numbness
The warm embrace of my blood starts to fade.

I close my eyes, assimilate in the darkness.
If Hell is real well, I think I found it here.
Wither alone while Atropos extends her pale hand
Caressing my throat as she drives the knife in.

Refusing to break skin
My body betrays me.
Oh God, can you hear this?
My folded hands, they tremble in fear
That I'll wake up again and the world will still be here.
I beg for it to end.

Fuck.
I feel her again
Crawling on the floor in my room.
Her voice echoing in my head
I hear her whisper
"A sadistic fucking tomb to rot in"
I wander in to the cold and damp.

I close my eyes, assimilate in the darkness.
If Hell is real well, I think I found it here.
Wither alone while Atropos extends her pale hand
Caressing my throat as she drives the knife in.

Giving my limbs to the numbness
(The numbness)
The warm embrace of my blood starts to fade.
I wither alone in this haven
Losing every piece of myself that made me what I am.

I lay
Flat on the marble slab that you carved for me
In my absence.
Returning home to the cold and damp
A sadistic tomb to rot in.

I follow the path
Familiar footsteps lead me deeper and deeper again.
It swallows me whole
Returning home to the cold and damp.
