Full-Length Feature Dream

Forget everything you've just heard.
I'll save you the time and spread the word.
Spring is almost over and the Summer is near.
I've got more important things than you, my dear.
Like, I was stuck in a world without speakers.
I had to listen to the sounds of life.
Sleep felt like such a brilliant idea.
I ended up having a full-length feature dream last night, again.

I forget what I said.
Just give me a minute and wait.
Come back. I said, "We'll never be apart.
I cross my heart and hope to die."

Idle minds attract.
Bi-polar opposites, stand back.
Because this thing that we call "time",
you've got yours and I've got mine.
And I'd rather listen to the sounds of wax,
than "You're stupid." nonsense.
Because you blame me for all the things you hate,
but I've only been sitting by the hi-fi all night, again.
