Some People

Daises, they pepper our dirt road
And tulips, they bloom then grow old
And winter, may cover them with snow
But they're still there
Waiting patiently to grow

Some people you find along the way
Like daises, they're planted there to stay
And when you laugh together
Your heart is fuller than the moon
Your troubles, they're the same
But somehow lost their gloom

The simple things
Cheap coffee at the café
Or watching all the dogs play
In the yard, just spending the day
Dreaming, of the good things life will bring
And the joy of everything
Just letting your heart sing

And you-
I look at you
And I'd rather look at you
Than all the tigers at the zoo
The Mona Lisa at the Louvre
Just seein' how you do

I feel you, even when I'm all alone
The silence can chill ya to the bone
And springtime is right around the bend
I know it's the beginning of the end

Oh my friend
