Undeliver

Wrote a letter to myself today and I'll send it inside a paper heart
Fold it up and let it fly away 'cause I know it'll never get that far
Put away the pen and then I'll crumple all the pages
If there's something left to say, you know that what I'll say is
"Here's a question that I have to ask, can you answer it honestly?"

Would you love me if I ran away and never came back?

If my tears gathered up in a little bottle
Tell me, would you pour it out?
And if a stream were to start from the pitter-patter of it all
Would you read it out loud?
If the years keep passing by
And the stream takes you and I
Would you let it take us down and under
And undeliver all the words? I wonder
