Driving My Chevy

I'm driving my chevy back home.
One more time.
Where my sweetheart is waiting.
Like springtime.
People are waiting in my hometown.
The kind you want to be around.
Heading back home.
To see my world.
Leaving that fighting world behind.
And I say that its time.
And I know Its time.
For some blackberry wine.
I just got out of the service.
I been protecting our home ground.
Had to do some things I can't explain.
I'm driving my chevy back to my hometown.
Where the skies are blue old Dog's just lay around.
And I'm goanna pray.
all the children play.
For a finer day.
But right now, I'm driving my chevy back home.
And I listen to the tires as they sing that back home song.
The radios a thumping that chevy pie song.
And it won't be long.
Till I'm back home.
Roll-on little Chevrolet.
Take me on in home
