Voila Pink Flamingos

People always ask us what's our secret
They don't know what to think
How in all this wide world of creation
Did we end up to be so pink

We like to make them think it's something special
An ink, a dye, the heat
When in reality it ain't no mystery
It's simply what we eat

We take a most ingenious bill and swill a fill of water 'til
Our tummies can be fed
We filter out the big debris, keep in nutritious algae
Which breaks down and makes our feathers red

Voila! Pink Flamingos
Nyyaaa, nyyaaa, nyyaaa
Voila! Pink Flamingos
Nyyaaa, nyyaaa, nyyaaa
Voila! Pink Flamingos
Nyyaaa, nyyaaa, nyyaaa
It's such fun being pink

We pride ourselves on laying only one egg
And take turns on the nest
Our mates participate in raising babies
Isn't he the best

We live in warm and tropical climates
Near lakes where we can wade
In big flocks we can sing and dance and frolic
Flaunting our flamingo parade

You take a crooked beak and a trim physique so svelte and chic
And a song no one can mock
Lay a single egg and add stiletto legs
You too could be one of the flock

Voila! Pink Flamingos
Nyyaaa, nyyaaa, nyyaaa
Voila! Pink Flamingos
Nyyaaa, nyyaaa, nyyaaa
Voila! Pink Flamingos
Nyyaaa, nyyaaa, nyyaaa
It's such fun being pink

Voila! Pink Flamingos
Nyyaaa, nyyaaa, nyyaaa
Voila! Pink Flamingos
Nyyaaa, nyyaaa, nyyaaa
Voila! Pink Flamingos
Nyyaaa, nyyaaa, nyyaaa
Don't you wish you were pink
