No Photos

Separate styles
They always clashed
I learned to fake a smile
I learned to leave the scraps
I bought a Polaroid so we could hold to the past
The film I now avoid cause I could not look at the flash

Off broken promises I took down the frames
Soft spoken honestness I still felt the same
I kept a memory inside of my case
Now it's left empty and the moment's erased

I don't have a single picture
I don't have a single shot
I hate being sentimental
Didn't care if I forgot
It just hurts me to remember
So I found a way to not
And I got rid of the photos that we made before the stop

Contrasting colors
They were too bright
There always was another
There always was a fight
Our camera made you upset
And me uptight
As pointless as a sunset that was shot in black and white

Off broken promises I took down the frames
Soft spoken honestness I still felt the same
I kept a memory inside of my case
Now it's left empty and the moment's erased

I don't have a single picture
I don't have a single shot
I hate being sentimental
Didn't care if I forgot
It just hurts me to remember
So I found a way to not
And I got rid of the photos that we made before the stop

They say a picture's worth a thousand words
But there was nothing worth to say
I didn't want to be heard
I used to love to keep the memories but now they seem blurred
And why would I keep something safe
That only made me feel worse

I don't have a single picture
I don't have a single shot
I hate being sentimental
Didn't care if I forgot
It just hurts me to remember
So I found a way to not
And I got rid of the photos that we made before the stop
