Fiction

I've been listening to the rain
Catch myself waiting for it on sunny days
Bit into fiction, but not my taste
Rather be hated for me than loved for my half-hearted charade

I don't think of much else these days
But I wonder
If I'm on the right path's wrong way
Going backwards
I know it's worth the wait
If the garden sprouts late

I've been existing in a cave
I found the crowds in town crowding my brain
I lived in fiction, til I strayed
I need my soul, I need my blood I can't stay
Trade my heart for pay

I don't think of much else these days
But I wonder
If I'm on the right path's wrong way
Going backwards
I know it's worth the wait
If the garden sprouts late
