Purple Butterflies

I wasted so much of myself here
I let the darkness take the wheel and steer
Let the voices take hold in my head
Let the devil take shelter in my bed
Doesn't matter who you think I was before
This place just isn't my home anymore
It'll be like shards of glass in my side
But I'm saving myself and leaving this place behind

He certainly has done enough
Tried to make mistakes I've made define who I was
Tried to kill the good in me and eat out my heart
Then God appeared like purple butterflies
Heaven picked me up and opened my eyes
Then the Lord appeared like purple butterflies

I wasted so much of myself there
Companion to the danger and monsters everywhere
I was always chasing after a feeling
Gave my flesh and let them bleed me
Doesn't matter who you think I was before
This place just isn't my home anymore
It'll be like shards of glass in my side
But I'm saving myself and leaving this place behind

He certainly has done enough
Tried to make mistakes I've made define who I was
Tried to kill the good in me and eat out my heart
Then God appeared like purple butterflies
Heaven picked me up and opened my eyes
Then the Lord appeared like purple butterflies
Heaven picked me up and opened my eyes
Then the Lord appeared like purple butterflies

He certainly has done enough
Tried to make mistakes I've made define who I was
Tried to kill the good in me and eat out my heart
Then God appeared like purple butterflies
Heaven picked me up and opened my eyes
Then the Lord appeared like purple butterflies
Heaven picked me up and opened my eyes
Then the Lord appeared like purple butterflies
