When I Wake Up

In cascade mountains and Olympic beaches
Sit around a fire it gets me thinking

Some people say there will come a day
The city of Seattle will be washed away

But I bet the young will run Thru the puddles
They'll dance in the rain below the mossy rubble

We know we're stronger than a place
Don't lose track of yourself
In the race

Spending all my last dimes
Just to have a good time
Is that what it's all about?

I won't know if I don't try
Am I too far past prime?
Please don't let me down now

Sinking in the sunshine
Dancing in the starlight
Finally got it figured out

So When i wake up on the other side
I don't wanna have a doubt

Across the Salish sea the fog is lifting
I see whidbey from the dock where I'm sitting

The water in-between keeps the secrets of life
Won't tell us why until we die

I feel a feeling deep inside
It scares me bit but there is nowhere to hide

I feel the autumn of my life
Crack a smile and roll it tight
