The Birds

Crow flies as straight as an arrow
Dove floats like the breeze on the sea
Crow fights for the worm in the morning
Dove flies away so she can be there with me

Eagle spreads his wings and flies to the mountain
Rabbits scatter like the wind blowing seed
Eagle swoops but is distracted by chatter
The dove eats the berries that you left there for me

The hawk laughs as he sings for his supper
All the critters of the field turn to flee
Hawk sits and waits for the morning
Sharpens his claws while staring at me
