Bottom of the Hill

The quiet mornings are the only time
When I can think about how much is left to climb
I'm standing at the bottom of this hill
Filled with all of the things that I couldn't kill
But I know that I just have to beginn
Can't get hung up on all the things that could have been

Have to start before I grow my roots
Clear my mind just think of my pursuits

I know that I must be true to me
I have to climb that mountain so that I can see
Have to reach far above every single cloud
So I can figure out what this is all about

About time for me to start
No excuse now, no falling apart
I know that I have to make it up this hill
But still I'm still

So take the first steps on uncharted land
I want to see above so I can understand
Have to know the pain like the back of my hand

I want to know myself...

I want to
See myself
As others
See me

I know that I must be true to me
I have to climb that mountain so that I can see
Don't let me fall
Lift me up
Alone I know that i will fall apart
I have to reach far above every cloud
So I can figure out what this is all about
I have to see
What I can be
Without my failures weighing
Down
On
Me

My failures
Weighing
Down

On
Me
