Wear the T-Shirt

I read the intro, I read the last page
But I didn't know what would happen in between
It seemed irrelevant to me
You looked like dynamite, your hair was alpha rays
You'd wear anything, satin or polythene
You were always the girl to be seen

I once was happy, I'd wave my hands about
A little dance and then I'd smile my way to work
I never thought that I'd be getting hurt
You made my life complete and without a doubt
You were the one who put a quick-step in my walk
I saw the film, I bought the T-shirt

So come on and
Wear the T-shirt, join the crowd
There's no excuse if you find it too loud
Wear the T-shirt, run around, wave your hands about
But stop wearing that frown

You treat men like they are peaches
You eat the fleshy bits and then throw about the core
You leave them red raw and feeling sore
But you'll get a bad one, with worms and leeches
And you'll stop hunting round, looking for more and more and more
And maybe stop being a fruity carnivore

I can see it now and upon review
I should have run-away, or at least have tried to flee
You were a peach eater to me
But the soil was good, filled with life all new
So I took root, and now as everyone can see
That I'm your peach tree

So come on and
Wear the T-shirt, join the crowd
There's no excuse if you find it too loud
Wear the T-shirt, run around, wave your hands about
But stop wearing that frown
