Between Worlds

Trapped behind asylum gates
We chose between divergent fates
Yet wrapped inside our chrysalis
The chance for change, a genesis

The consequence of our loss of sense
How will we atone?
Do we try or calcify
Bone by bone?

Come forth thee whose words and deeds
Might reconcile competing needs
When might makes right and faith is cheap
The price we pay has grown too steep

Out of the darkness and into the light
In between worlds we strive to unite

Let us not pretend that this will be the end
(They're waiting, they're watching)
(Eyes are on us all)
We must embrace reform lest we face the storm
Must embrace reform

The consequence of our loss of sense
How will we atone?
Do we try to rectify
Stone by stone?

Out of the darkness and into the light
In between worlds we strive to unite

Poised on a threshold we cross the divide
To mend all this measureless madness many have magnified
And fight for our future, a feeling faded, a turn of the tide
It's ours to decide
