Hopeless (feat. AnteUp & Rashad Bethea) [Radio Edit]
My mind in other dimensions
My brain is constantly itching
I contemplate about quitting then get them visions, my mission is simple
I got some people to help
Them people cryin bout debt
They cant imagine the wealth
This generation of hating is gross
Anger on every post
All of this time we devote
Hold on i'm checkin my phone
Hypocrisy all that i see
Mindless and wandering sheep
Lonely and lookin for love
Lonely and lookin for peace
Hungry need something to eat
Stressing bout kids and they clothes
Bills late its money they owe
Bank teller say they foreclosed
New generation exposed
Singing
Know its hard and it hurts sometimes
Praying it get better but it take some time
Saying it get better but it don't sometimes
Where is my money in taxes Probably outside of my bracket
Probably with higher of classes All of these things that I'm asking.
You'll never see in the books
People with power be crooks
Just like them ones in the hood
Doing bout all that they could
Stressing and grinding for change
Looking and searchin for ways
Starving and reachin for plates
Counting on better of days
Singing
Know its hard and it hurts sometimes
Praying it get better but it take some time
Saying it get better but it don't sometimes
Deprivation of sanity, stripped away from our rights so I question what is humanity
Thinking back on the days that I told my mom what I plan to be
She don't wanna project cause this reality is damaging (come here boy)
All that ambition, son I commend you make sure you chase your dreams
While these piling bills I attend to
Groceries cold cause wic the only food on the menu
How all my people poor in a system we pouring into
Scratch the temple, ten years later and watch the money flow
All of us dwelling in ice just like the Eskimos
Realizing it came with a price cause as the story goes
Kids don't know the meaning of life besides designer clothes
Is this how you felt, momma I get it having the best intentions
While trapped in a mental prison
Even though we did struggle was glad that we had each other
On both sides of the coin there's so much pain to uncover, na na aww damn
Singing know it's hard and it hurts sometimes
Praying it get better but it take some time
Singing know its hard and it hurts sometimes
Saying it get better but it don't sometimes
Praying it get better but it take some time
