The Truth
Yeah, they feed propaganda
Time will tell their true colors
For they act like our brothers
Resist their memoranda
They'll just come as wolves to you
In sheep's clothing to cue you
But they are just like fool's gold (Yeah)
Question everything you're told (7776)
There you go again, 'said you'd always be there for me
But I never really understood what that meant at the time
Well, anyway, what about now
Yeah, how about now
You're such an imposter it's so sad
You're never livin' up to what you say compared to what you do well you're so bad
Alas, I gotta do what's best for me
Even if my flesh is achin' against it sometimes you gotta do what's right even if your heart is sensed to be bit and it creeps up behind ya' like you're about to be slit
You think I'm talkin' about just one person
No, I'm talkin' about all y'all
Hold up, there's a couple of you who are actually real
How many
One percent
At least that's what I think
From my encounters it's almost all the same
Everything's about power, makin' money, and earnin' the fame
The internet went from praisin' people to trashin' people
It's like an everlastin' hydra that feeds me lies lies lies
I cut off one head two come back with an evil surprise-prise-prise
Funny, what would happen if we burnt it
Then we wouldn't have all this depression and fake images that are current
Yeah, they feed propaganda
Time will tell their true colors
For they act like our brothers
Resist their memoranda
They'll just come as wolves to you
In sheep's clothing to cue you
But they are just like fool's gold
Question everything you're told
Yeah, you all act like a bunch of buffoons
Always clownin' around doin' who knows what, askin' for some feedback
How many times did you all pretend like you actually cared if I slid up
That's because you didn't
That was pretty apparent
But I guess I always got caught up with trynna be consistent
I guess I thought that'd always do somethin' like showin' that I'm there
Now I think of it, it was all mere wasted time I could have spared
But that never did anything because you never cared
Even if I ever mentioned what you should do or that I got my feelings hurt
Dustin thought about all of the times that he had to bear
Now the reality is, Dustin really doesn't care
Now you may not like what I'm sayin' but it's merely the truth
Honest Abe said that truth is your truest friend
Funny, sometimes it seems like that's my only friend
Be yourself, I'd rather have real than fake
It seems like I'm just trynna take a break
I'm not good at rap but at least do me a favor and listen to what I have to produce
Four minutes of your time may give you more wisdom to climb with knowledge and set You loose
Yeah, they feed propaganda
Time will tell their true colors
For they act like our brothers
Resist their memoranda
They'll just come as wolves to you
In sheep's clothing to cue you
But they are just like fool's gold
Question everything you're told (Ah)
Memories never change, but the people within them do
That's a fact jack
It's like I come to reality when I meditate about all of this stuff
It always brings me to reality and I appreciate it so much
I marvel, reminds me of that one guy NF
Yeah he's got some cool music, it's actually real
I listened to it on a daily so much my dad would yell at me
He said, turn that music down, I don't wanna hear that rap crap
Okay, dad, but maybe I'll be rapping that crap someday, makin' big leagues
I'll surprise with you where I make it, and then we'll see what's funny
Perhaps I'll come home from doin' that and bringin' back the money
Speakin' of NF, I bought some of his merch
I got elated to be able to attend one of his concerts
But then came quarantine and this so-called "pandemic catastrophe" ruined that and so Much more
Even my vacation for Passover with my family just got deplored
But always remember, everything happens for a reason
Our creator, our god, our divine YEHOVAH is always in control
He wouldn't have allowed all of this to transpire if it wasn't a part of His patrol
Yeah, they feed propaganda
Time will tell their true colors
For they act like our brothers
Resist their memoranda
They'll just come as wolves to you
In sheep's clothing to cue you
But they are just like fool's gold
Question everything you're told
