Glastonbury Fayre (Bonus Track)

I first played the Pyramid Stage back in 1984
My first-ever festival, I was like a kid in a candy store
I stayed up all night, man, grooving out of my skin
In love with the three-day city
And all that moved within

And I'm going back to Glastonbury Fayre
Gonna breathe that good old pure West country air
I'm going back to Worthy Farm
With a guitar under my arm
Yeah, I'm going back to Glastonbury Fayre

Played a storm in '86, that was the year we were the kings
Fiddle bows and mandolins, sure broke a lot of strings
We played "This is the Sea" and "The Healing has Begun"
I climbed the Tor at the break of dawn
Just to salute the sun

And I'm going back to Glastonbury Fayre
Gonna breathe that good old pure West country air
I'm going back to Worthy Farm
With a guitar under my arm
Yeah, I'm going back to Glastonbury Fayre

I saw Radiohead in '97, and the Stones in 2013
Hit the other Ssage and the poetry tent and everywhere in between
But the best set I ever witnessed was the night me and Billy Bragg
Saw a Busker band with a stand-up bass and trombone
On the festival's Old Main Drag

And I'm going back to Glastonbury Fayre
Gonna breathe that good old pure West country air
I'm going back to Worthy Farm
With a guitar under my arm
Yeah, I'm going back to Glastonbury Fayre

I returned with Crazy Horse and McNabb in '94
And two thousand zero, two, three and seven
But man, who's keeping score?
2015, we took the stage after Courtney Barnett's set
Seven years later, back in style
And we ain't finished yet

And I'm going back to Glastonbury Fayre
Gonna breathe that good old pure West country air
I'm going back to Worthy Farm
With a guitar under my arm
Yeah, I'm going back to Glastonbury Fayre
Going back to Glastonbury Fayre
Glastonbury Fayre
