I first played the Pyramid Stage back in 1984
My first-ever festival, I was like a kid in a candy store
I stayed up all night, man, grooving out of my skin
In love with the three-day city
And all that moved within

Played a storm in '86, that was the year we were the kings
Fiddle bows and mandolins, sure broke a lot of strings
We played "This is the Sea" and "The Healing has Begun"
I climbed the Tor at the break of dawn
Just to salute the sun

I saw Radiohead in '97, and the Stones in 2013

But the best set I ever witnessed was the night me and Billy Bragg
Saw a Busker band with a stand-up bass and trombone
On the festival's Old Main Drag
