Cake

Suddenly not so clean
An option that we could eat
With caution we starve and receive
Adopting a slice of the meat

Sweet hearts clean our
Teeth not, we rot

No portions forced upon my friends
Absorb the circus for some bread
Forgive the existential dread
Bored of it I beg
Pretend we're drawing you in red
To seek redundancy instead
I kill for sport when hunger spreads
We're coming for your head

The hunter removes his sleeve
Adopting a common need
To bandage the oxen's plea
Obnoxiously pure it bleeds

Underneath our
Greasy fingers
Sugar seems sharp
Baked in replacing the charm

Sweet hearts clean our
Teeth not, we rot
