Garden

The ivy's really overgrown
Weeds are growing through
The cobblestone
It's funny how this used to be
The road to lead us home
It makes me wonder when this house
Was once a home

Time's had changed and I moved
To the city
Leaving all I ever knew
Behind me
Now I come back and it's all gone
Felt like the last I had
Of places clear enough to remember you
Mom and dad

Now it's a garden
Where everything grows
You could walk by it
And not even know
That there's still this love
They can't take our love
They won't take our love

I miss the music that
You used to play
And oh the way you knew
Just what to say
You brought me up right and I
Try to live by what you taught
I hope you're proud of me
You raised me stronger than I thought

So I've got two angels
Though I'd rather have you here
I hope you're together
And growing with the years
I hope that you're happy
And we'll all be again someday
They can't take our love still
'Cause that never goes away
