MM 2016
Well someone stuck their nose where it didn't belong
The doctor prescribed poverty to prove I was wrong
To vacuum up the excess of who I'd become
To rip apart the notion it was fair all along
Well I shouldn't complain cause it's inherently dumb
This isn't optimism or some grand revolution it's a trend we all run
So you laughed in the face of a hateful man
Well he laughed in your face that you laughed in his face
It's one way or another baby so you'd better choose your side
It's been wrong for generations maybe this time we'll be right
Well I've been angry over much dumber things
But when you told me to stand down you know I did
It seems we missed the point when we covered our eyes
I couldn't understand hate so I hated it while we hated our lives
But they were looking fucking dumb when the crossfire flung
Like a redirected placement of some instinct to hunt
So we reaffirmed an enemy in the home front
Then became our own damn enemy cause it's what we want
I've been told to man up baby then they ripped out my spine
How could I ever know what you were going through
Why would you ever think I might
